Brooke Valentine was born on October 5, 1984 in Houston, Texas.



She started singing at a young age and was part of the singing group Best Kept Secret.



In 2004, she broke off from the group to start her own solo career and was signed by Virgin Records.



Her debut album, Chain Letter, was released in 2005 and made it to #16 on the US album charts.



A second album, Physical Education is due to be released in October of 2006, and the first single to be released of the album, "D-Girl," is already starting to make waved in the R&B scene
